A single boat with a yellow cover hauled up on the shingle beach at Budleigh Salterton on the coast of East Devon with a dramatic cloudy sky backdrop taken on a winters day in February. Budliegh is a popular place for a brisk stroll along the beach with many lovely views.
I am a photographer based in the SW of UK in Mid Devon. I use a Pentax K5 and shoot mainly landscape and flora macros. My favourite locations (and there are many to choose from in this part of the world) are the coastal footpaths and the moors Dartmoor and Exmoor. I have a soft spot for trees and enjoy both ends to the day for shooting. I produce both traditional images and those with more artistic interpretation. I am available for groups and comissions, having some experience in wedding photography. I also sell a range of cards of local views in local shops.

Great capture Pete! Takes me back a bit as I was on holiday in BS in 1947 when I was 8. :) I still remember that there was no sand at all and loads of large stones over the whole beach area.
Pete Hemington replied:
Thanks - I wonder if it has changed much since then. Yes certainly a pebbly beach and yet some of the pebbles have the best colours
